I am a graphic storyteller; my art conveys stories of other people, other places, and those of my own. My artistic practice draws influences from diverse visual narrative traditions, including Japanese manga, with its characteristic focus on the realms of the personal and the emotional. My art investigates life experiences, human relationships and connections with the world around us. In my work, I often deal with sensitive issues, as I believe that the comic/graphic novel medium is virtually limitless and should not be seen as light entertainment only.

As an artist educator, my aim is to involve, inspire and empower others through creating comics and manga.
